Happy Valentine ! This is reminding us of sharing an article from our local newspaper who featured the story of a Varennes couple for last year Valentine day.

Colleen and Nicholas met at high school in Luxemburg. Their parents are originally from the US and Canada but the groom’s parents fell in love with Burgundy a few years ago (the groom’s father is collecting wines) and had purchased a lovely holiday home near Beaune, the capital of Burgundy wines. When Nick proposed, all agreed that Burgundy was the best option to gather guests from all over the world. We had just opened Varennes at that time and we became friends from the first time we met them. After their beautiful and sun-drenched wedding in May 2011, it was very difficult to get back to rainy Luxemburg and shortly after being back they decided to gee it a chance to live their dream of becoming wine makers in Burgundy. They went back to (wine) school and now their winery is open and ready to offer their first bottles labelled www.maisonharbour.com, go and support them !
