Named by CNN among the top ten best wedding venues worldwide, the Château de Varennes is a luxury estate to hire for family holidays, weddings, corporate functions or other special events. Located in the sunny South Eastern part of France amidst the finest vineyards of Beaune in Burgundy, the property is belonging to our family for 400 years and was fully refurbished. We have all the modern comfort and we are located in a beautiful region known for great sightseeing and producing the finest wines in the world.

We are specialist of destination weddings and we can host intimate events as well as big functions (check the reception venue section for a description of our event facilities). Outdoor weddings are often possible as South Burgundy is enjoying a warm and sunny weather from Spring to Autumn (our pool is open from March to early November). We even have gorgeous lavender fields on site. We are also offering the kind of services expected in a boutique hotel or a modern luxury resort (private chef, airport transfers, concierge services etc.).

Outside of weddings, we are also open for birthday parties, family celebrations, corporate workshops and individual stays. Our offer for family friendly retreats is described on this page and we have the following on-site activities: tennis court, big outdoor pool (heated if necessary), swings/kids playground, ping-pong table, cooking classes, floral design, gardening, oenology etc
