Even if it is still sunny and warm this week, Fall is already here as the tree leaves are taking beautiful yellow-orangey colors and daylight hours are shortening. This is the best season to indulge yourself with a good brunch in front of a chimney fire.
French pastry is famously known for offering the most extensive range of confections which is difficult to source overseas (or at least at this level of quality). I am thinking of croissants, brioches, pains au chocolat, crepes (pancakes), gaufres (waffles), meringues, macarons and all kind of pies.
We are lucky to have a very talented pastry chef in Varennes. Muriel (featured below with her adorable children Victoria and Ruben) is preparing amazing brunches that will make you wish to move to Varennes straight away (you can learn more about Muriel by checking her website here). Here is an example of a magnificent table Muriel has created for a tv show. We extend our congratulations to Sophie Lemesle for the beautiful pictures.
