Alternatively, you have the choice among many options suiting all budgets – from 5* hotels and Relais & Chateaux in Beaune to charming country guesthouses or local houses available to rent.

It is worth checking on gites71 or Booking.com as there are new b&bs and hotels opening every year. For selecting the nearest places, make sure you select “Varennes sur le Doubs” or “71270 Charette-Varennes” as the target location then “distance from landmark”.

For example there are two new options which opened recently on our street (3mn walk from the chateau): L’Evidence (high end b&b and house rental with a pool and a capacity of 10 guests) and Bourgogne Detente (luxury house rental with a pool and a capacity of 22 guests)

There is another b&b with 4 rooms in a nearby village (5mns from the venue): La Belle d’Antan

And a new 4star hotel with big capacity (40 rooms) and a Michelin star restaurant will open in the nearby village of Pierre de Bresse (5mns drive) – date to be confirmed
